For cooperative milk unions

See the pour that changed the day.

Kalpadhenu is the procurement board for unions that collect milk the cooperative way. Secretaries, supervisors, and the union desk see litres, fat, and SNF — and the exceptions a society total hides — before the tanker weight becomes the argument.

Built for the collection pattern of a union like KMF: farmer, MPCS, bulk cooler, chilling centre, tanker.

The work

What a morning on the board looks like.

One pass through the procurement day. The same day, district, and society stay with you from the society total to the route the milk takes.

  1. Choose the day and the groundDistrict, society, and the procurement date stay with you as you move. An admin sees every MPCS. Anyone else sees a society only when their district, taluk, or supervisor route covers it.
  2. Read the society before the exceptionMembers, farmers pouring, litres, fat, SNF, CLR, and open anomalies for that day. A normal day can stay a normal day.
  3. Open the rows that movedSpikes, drops, extreme pours, fat shifts, and a society total that jumped, each with the expected figure beside the one that arrived. Scores and the suspect list say who a visit should start with.
  4. Follow the milk outwardBMCs, chilling centres, tanker routes, and supervisor routes open on that same day, not as a separate chase.

Pain points and the response

Procurement loses the day in a few familiar places.

These are the use cases the board is for. Each one is a problem we see in cooperative collection, and the part of Kalpadhenu that answers it.

01

The society total is not the pour

A jump in litres can be one member, a bad entry, or a real change in the herd. The day book still shows one number, and the argument starts there.

On the board

Farmer spikes, drops, and pours past the litre limit sit next to the society jump, each with the recent average beside today’s litres.

02

Quality is argued from memory

Fat and SNF decide what the milk is worth. A shift against a farmer’s own history, or against the society around them, disappears inside a paper day.

On the board

Weighted fat, SNF, and CLR stay on the society board. Farmer rules flag a fat shift, fat above the limit, and fat away from the society peer group.

03

Suspicion lands wider than the evidence

When a day looks wrong, the whole village feels it. A supervisor cannot stand at every collection point, and a rumour is a poor way to choose where to stand.

On the board

Scores separate quantity, quality, consistency, and peer behaviour. The suspect list is a route for the day. It is a place to look, not a verdict.

04

The milk is already on the road

By the time a desk asks about a cooler or a tanker, the route has moved. Chilling centres and supervisor rounds live in different lists, and the phone calls start.

On the board

BMCs, chilling centres, tanker routes, and supervisor routes open on the same procurement day, with the same district and society filters.

05

Everyone sees the sheet, or the field sees nothing

A shared workbook has no boundary. A supervisor in one taluk should not need the whole union’s book, and a union desk should not be blind.

On the board

The board follows the organisation. Admins see every society. A district, taluk, or supervisor route sees only the MPCS it covers.

Mission

A day that can be explained.

Kalpadhenu is the cow of plenty in the old stories — the one that meets a need, and does not invent more than the truth. We hold procurement to that standard.

A farmer paid from the milk they poured, not from the average of the village.

A society secretary who can account for the day without waiting for the month to close.

A union that can follow those litres through the cooler and the tanker while the route still matters.

The work is this use case only: the collection point, the quality test, the cooler, the tanker, and the person whose route includes that village.

The future of milk procurement

A shorter distance between the pour and the decision.

  1. 01

    The day as a sum

Many unions still close procurement as a total. The exception surfaces when payment is calculated, when a tanker weight disagrees, or when a farmer objects.

  2. 02

The day with a name on it

The step this board is built for: name the exception while the milk is still in the chain. Whose pour, which rule, what the recent days looked like, and which supervisor route includes that society.

  3. 03

One record the chain can share

Further on, the dairy, the route, and the payment desk should not each keep a private version of the day. Fewer arguments about fat. Less reconstruction by phone. Field time spent on the pours that moved, and a quiet day left quiet.
